kazaa files

i donwloaded 44% of a movie and now i want to watch it. The file is .dat, sohjiro told me to rename it to mpeg or mpg but it still dont work. Is there a program that read .dat files? or is there a way to watch that movie?

P.s.

is a jackie chan's quiite old movie called "City Hunter"

u cant run the movie until it has entirely downloaded.

with those kinda programs, if they have an inbuilt player then u usually can watch it via the program but u cannot run it directly from its location me thinks

Ok first DarkMonster, you need to make a computer that isn't in a cardboard box. Then get a real processor, not that mouse you use on the wheel. Third download the whole thing. Then try it out.

possibly you need to rename it to a .avi extension.

however, avi files have an internal crc or something, so you may have to either complete the entire file before viewing, or goto www.doom9.net (http://www.doom9.net) and look for a program called "divfix", try that on the incomplete file.

just a note, ALWAYS backup files before patching/fixing, it would suck to lose everything.
