im gettin rid of my new mobo and im revertin to my old one for the time being now the question is ........ what the hell do i buy? ill admit im an idiot ok lol anyway what is a good mobo an prosseser for gaming please help thanx

um.. with my experience, i stick with Intel Chipset for full compatibility on AGP 3D cards, newer boards they are now using DDR memory which gives better performance for the buck compare to the costly RamBUS memory. P4 1.6 is average consumer's buy now days... if ur gonna run win2k, which i thnk u are http://www.bac-clan.com/forum/images/smilies/ubb_import/biggrin.gif get the fastest CPU u can buy with ur wallet.

Intel is orginial technology on mobo standards while AMD dominates low cost processor (performance/buck) which many other 3rd party chipset makers take place (regardless intel/amd/or whatever) these chipsets tend to have compatiblity issues. definitely stay away from on-board embedded video chipsets they are sign of low cost design with limited budgets/capabilities.

definately stay AWAY form VIA chipset boards if ur deciding not to buy an intel chipset board/processor.
