Frames per second [Archive]

window Xp has screwed me and my fps
before while running windows ME i was getting roughy a good 90fps
now with Xp installed i only get a lameoid 60fps
sooo yeah
any tips/hints?
btw ive downloaded the latest drivers for my vid card soo yeah thats not it.

2. I understand you have downloaded the most recent vid card drivers....the question is...are they DIGITALLY SIGNED BY MICROSOFT?

3.What is your refresh rate?

4. System specs would be nice LOL!

xp is simply slower with games..thats why i have my gaming w98 ready.

xp caps your fps at 60. if u want to up your fps u can do 1. turn off your vsync, this will allow your fps to go to 100, but in my opinon it doesnt look as good. i keep my vsync on. 2. u can also try downloading a refresh rate fix. i used to use nvidia refresh rate fix, but it doesnt support the new detonator drivers, so i now use refresh lock.
refresh lock pwns. u can download refresh lock at guru3d.
