Well my old 17" CRT monitor died on me on Sunday afternoon so I need to get a new one asap. Any recommendations please?
I was thinking of like a 17” Flat Panel monitor like maybe a Philips 107B2T which is like £500 and supports 1280 x 1024 @ 75HZ.
Currently using a Gforce2 64 mb card.
Any constructive comments appreciated

U should be carefull, Id say. I dunno exactly how much 500 pounds are in €, but in general U can say that a flat panel with sufficient respond times for gamers are still so expensive, that U could think about getting a real upper class 19 or even 20" CRT for the same price.
Flats with poor pixel refresh response time lead to "ghosting," an effect caused by the monitor trying to quickly switch from light to dark objects. When this occurs, on-screen images appear to stay on the screen for a moment when they're actually supposed to be gone. Theres already enough warp in BZII itself, so make shure the screen U buy has a respond time of at least 30 ms, better 25 ms ...

where the f00k u get that for $300, Havok? just wondering...
And Fired... I wouldn't invest in anything smaller than 19 inches.
Once you play on a 19 inch (flat screen or not) it wont matter if you have a flat screen or not. It's incredible what it does for your game play.
Infact, I've been lookin into a 21 inch monitor thats a tube, not flat.
Just my advice bro. :)
