Here is a useful tip for retrieving data off of "damaged" hard drives :
Seal the drive up in an antistatic bag
Put it in the fridge freezer compartment for 8 hours
Remove, remove from packaging and install
Get your data to another hard drive as quickly as possible.
This DOES work guys, my dad tried it a couple of weeks ago with a knackered hard drive with someone's university work on it, it gave him 10 minutes of retrieve time before it went down again, just enough to save the work onto a different location http://www.bac-clan.com/forum/images/smilies/ubb_import/thumbs.gif
