If you are like me who does not use Winamp here are two alternative, free music players you may consider. Allow me to share http://www.bac-clan.com/forum/images/smilies/ubb_import/smile.gif
Recently I've been on the hunt for music players to try out (free, shareware or buy). Although I use MusicMatch, Cakewalk Pryo and a few others every once an a while I have an urge to look for alternative music players to play with. Well I found 2 great ones:
CoolPlayer 2.05 (no install) and Quintessential Player 3.4:
To Cool Player Site (http://coolplayer.sourceforge.net/)
To Quintessential Player Site (http://www.quinnware.com/news.html)
------------------------------------
Quick Review:
- Both support custom skins (Coolplayer you can download them from various skin sites and Quintessential the same or you can download and install via player's control panel.)
- Both support playlists
- Both support common music files
- The sound quality is actually pretty good
- Both use low resources while playing (Coolplayer at 1%; Quintessential Player at 3% resources or less)
- Both...And this is the biggie, are FREE music players!
---------------------------------
**Coolplayer 2.05 is a standalone program...Meaning there is no need for install. You click it and the program will run. Here is a screenshot of MY skin and set up.

**Quintessential Player 3.4 for me however is the preferred music player out of the two. It has much more features and options to choose from. Here are two screenshots (expand and minimized):

Quintessential Player (minimized) (http://bac-clan.com/Images/VengeancE/misc/quintessential_sample1_minimize.jpg)
----------------------------------
While I have several skins for each of the two players I like how these look. You may differ...And so you can customize and tweak the player to your liking. Take the time to figure out where the hidden buttons are and their usage.
Here are the skin links we have so far:
