RTCW Maps

I've downloaded some new maps for RTCW. As per instruction, I put the pk3 files in my main directory of the RTCW file. To make it simple, the maps dont load, and I cant get them to work......Someone help me please!

Is it happening to all maps you download? or just a certain one, if so which one? What is the exact error message you are getting?

Can you create a server using that map? or does this happen when you join a server that has that map?

I had a problem (sometimes I am stupid) were I was unzipping the pk3 files into my RTCW/main folder. It was because the .pk3 file actually had .zip at the end, so I unzipped them. It never occured to me that right before the .zip, it said .pk3. I had to rename the files, and remove the .zip extension, and everything work out fine.

The message I get is "couldnt load maps/(map name).bsp"

I downloaded these from a "map pack" file on RTCWonline.com.

Still workin at it though.....

Did you unzip directly to the main folder or drag them and drop them?
