Starcraft Brood War div

As i said in the other poste in general discussion , it has beeen made before, but was shut down due to inactiveness , unless u guys can pull it off about getting few people to poste regular for a start , then it might have a slight chance of being made.

erm i reckon u guys would have a really hard time trying to do it lol... it would be much harder to run and maintain than the wc3 division for the following reasons:

1. its rather old (3 or 4 years?)
2. it uses bnet (as does wc3) - thus u will find it so very hard to get ppl to register on the forums, let alone post.
3. most ppl who play it are either very experianced, and wont want anything to do with a newb clan (unless a skilled person could lead hte division) or they are newbs.

i dont really see how it is going to work ;-\

ive thought of these things but its worth a try, but i dunno how somebody using bnet is gonna not want to register on forums. Plus the age of the game does not bother me, u know that CS is even old than that right?

Hmm, CS and SC are about same age. IF HL and SC came out at 1998 than CS and Brood Wars probobly came out at 1999. And ya thats a good point great games are always great games, age doesn't bother me with that.

And its your choice but my opinion there is no point in creating SC devision. But you still can try if you want.

The Brood War expansion came out in 1998.
Still a strong game....although not very clan-friendly in my opinion.

Himura....im no expert at the years of game releases (obviously).
But I believe you need 10 recruits that are not already in the clan to be eligible for a division assessment.
Anyhow, I will this refer this post to a good friend of mine, Nemesis.
He happens to be the brains and dedication behind this whole phenomenon we call Clan Development.

because if you get people who are out of clan currently , you would have a better chance knowing that they play alot of starcraft and starcraft only , where as if you get some1 in say... the rtcw division would prolly play more of that than sc.

In other words , just makes the division better :)

Basically guys, as will be explained in my reference thread in this forum in the next few days, our goal with a new division is to enable the clan to grow, if we just have 10 members in other divisions signing up for a division, we have recently found that they cant commit to the division as much as their other division, this causes the new division to get off to a weak start.

I have played SC thats the first online gam i have ever playedand i got hooked on it quite fast, it is hard to recruit in b.net becasue its all about the skill usually they join clans but thers not much a of a clan support as WC3 has id say it wouldbe just as hard to recruit in SC as in WC3 but it can be done u jsut have to have a good start, and starcraft came out 1998 ^^ trooper is right.

As for a SC division, let's not get so eager Dark. http://www.bac-clan.com/forum/images/smilies/ubb_import/happy_smile1.gif We tried this division once before and it simply didn't work. SC discussions then resurfaced several times afterward and in each time we decided to turn it down. It's not to say that you guys can't get together and play the game...But up to this point, we're not confident that a SC division will work for bac.

I play starcraft very much, and i love it,
it would be great to see one of my favorite classic BZII clans into SC too :)

I would like to support you if you guy's accept it...
i have alot of contacts in SC and most of them are around HaSu level :P
personaly , im chobo (levels are Newbie ---> Chobo ---> Hasu ---> Gosu)
and i can ask my friends if they would like to join ur SC BW div :)
