i havn't heard to much about it, but Metallica seems to love it. it's star wars, so i like that, but has anyone here played it? i havn't ever played the MMORPG style game, except for FF7 back on the playstation. do you have to pay to play? i guess i'll wait and see if anyone knows anything about it.

Yes it is pay to play. I believe it was a much better game when it first came out and now I hear that the communitya dnt eh game is slowly dying, ppl moving to new MMO's but I have never played it so I do not know http://www.bac-clan.com/forum/images/smilies/ubb_import/happy_smile1.gif

Don't waste your money now. SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) decided to come out with a "Combat Upgrade", but we the paying customers prefer to call it a "reason to quit". Let me put it this way, when this "Combat Upgrade" came out, it changed the game so much that 15000 people canceled their accounts the day it came out.

Star Wars Galaxies is a horrible game now. The developers changed it so much that it isn't even fun to play anymore. I'm waiting until the end of my billing cycle, and once that is done with, I'm leaving the game.

I got World of Warcraft and I'm loving it. Spidy, if you want a good MMO, go to WoW. SWG was ruined this week. Its to bad, too. It was the most enjoyable game I've ever played. But, its turned into a "Remember When..." game now. Don't waste your money, the new "Upgrade" made 80% of the population on the game quit. Sonly Online Entertainment won't even respond to our posts in their forums. They seem not to care about their paying customer. They wouldn't even answer my questions when I called them. They have, by far, the worse customer support and customer satisfaction I've ever experienced. It is the last time I buy a sony product.

You want an MMO, get WoW. Thats my advice. I've own both SWG and WoW. SWG is getting the can because of this horrible decision by the game developers.

what if they repealed their battle upgrade, would SOME people return? WAS it a really good game? i do like the whole jedi theme.

It WAS a great game, but don't hold your breath on SOE rolling back the Combat Upgrade. Numerous times have people mentioned that they don't like the CU, but SOE won't listen.

They spent a great deal of money on creating this upgrade and they aren't going to bite their profits.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but this upgrade was so bad that even I quit the best Star Wars game to date. It was a great game, but it sure as heck isn't anymore.

HAs anyone played EVE Online? I have heard that game is tons of fun, just curious if any of u MMO lovers have played it. If you ahve let me know what you think cause I'm considering to get that.

so, is this game still not worth it even if the original and both expansions are currently being sold for $30? or does that just say how much it sucks?
