This game, Like DOOM III, is shooting for a graphics revolution. You hear comments like "everything will be interactive" when in truth only selected objects are interactive. But with HL2, everything will be interactive. And that means everything, if you shoot a piece of wood, it will break like a piece of wood.

The player models will be fully interactive with the enviroment, if you smack into a wall from the force of a bullet or a rocket, your head wont be sticking through the wall, you will bounce off of it. It reflects the idea that the Unreal engine's Rag Doll system brings to the table. There is also a gun that can pick objects up objects and can hurle them at an enemy on an enemy or the enemy itself. (in the demo the person playing fires the letters "F" and "U" from a movie theater complex at a strider with this gun)

It's the G-Man before and after.

This game is seeking to revolutionize your AI companions. They will determine by themselves whether to fire, hide, take cover, or move in. You will also be seeing the return of Barney, or atleast a Barney type character, plus random fighters from around the city. Not all of your allies will be human this time around, some of the lesser intelligent aliens can be fooled into thinking you are their leader if you pick up this pheromone. They will attack anything you order to be attacked and go wherever you order them to be.

The new and improved scientist guy, tired of being hunted and slaughtered eh?

Gordon Freeman must not believe in showers or changes of cloths.

All in all this game looks to be an extremely promising sequel to one of the best games of all time. With the addition of vehicles thing will be even better. Now let us gear up and wait for the September 30th 2003 release date. If we clap our hands real hard it may be ready after many long years.

There aint enough info on UT2k4 yet to preview. And check the release date on HL2 its Sept 30th 2003. Plus I'm not a huge fan of the Unreal series anymore. My next preview is going to be a console game :D.
