hey all i have been playing alot of Americas Army Special Forces lately. this game is addicting as it gets. alot of people wont like it, because when you die, you have to wait for the next round to spawn again (rounds average 7-10 minutes). but that aside, this game is incredibly realistic. the physics blow me away. if you are running and get shot in the leg, it will literally flip you over, or whatever the true physics would do. it is a free full version game, developed and sponsored by the united states army. the game files are almost 2 gigs, and it is deffinately system intensive (i wouldnt even try to play on less than an 1800+ processor with 512 megs of pc3200 ram) when you launch the game, you are required to go through boot camp before you can play online (dont freak, you can get through it in a couple of hours including medic training and special forces training). it is well worth it. your stats are tracked through online servers run by the army. you get possitive points for enemy kills, objectives, etc.... you get negative points for injuring teamates or civilians. whichever side you choose to be on, you are the army, and the enemy looks like terrorists (opfor).
the game page is found here (http://www.americasarmy.com/)
the download from the main site is unbearably slow, but there are mirrors out there. i suggest gamespot to dl, it was over 6 times as fast. the whole dl process is trying, but well worth it!!!!
