Counter-Strike Source

Should we replace the HL2 division with CSS? Because from what I've heard, not many do play HLDM and it wouldn't really be a case of needing a clan because DM is just spawn and kill...And yeah, probably not the best explanation but I'm rushing...Source has also been increasing in number of players, nearly outbeating the old Counter-Strike so from what I see, it'll continue to grow and I guess making a Trial division couldn't hurt? HL2 just doesn't seem like it's going to go anywhere...

I can't stand Counter-Strike: Source. I'm sure I'm going against many of you in saying it, but it's true. It's just so different from what CS naturally is, it just feels like a completely different game. I found I couldn't use any of my knowledge gained from previous Counter-Strike versions in Counter-Strike: Source.

HL2:DM may be spawn-and-kill, but Counter-Strike: Source is no alternative. I look down on it. Unfortunately though, many see it different.

I know what you mean man, I can't use any of my skills I've picked up for CS as CS: Source is much different in many ways. Maybe you just need to get the hang of the game, just like how you got the hang of CS back in the days...

Maybe I should give it more of a chance. I've hardly played it, to tell the truth. If it ever does become a division, I'd have a go at joining it.

Being the stats whore I am was going over the playing times of CS vs CS source today on Xfire.

Quite interesting actually. CS:S almost triples CS1.6


Counter-Strike Source 89271 minutes
Counter-Strike 1.6 31366 minutes

CS:S has attracted a lot of new players, so it naturally gained popularity. Also, the people that play CS 1.6 usually also play CS:S, so I think most of those numbers are people that play both.

CS Source my opinion ... Whoa ruined cs in general, u die Uber fast, and on top of it all u have things that cs should never have, w00t i can shoot a bottle it breaks w00t more to retract from performance or fps yay

Yeah it does, its not the same as the old Counter-Strike, it has a differen't shooting styles and hopefully in the future, it can update all the glitches out of there.

i never like cs that much heh, its always kinda frustrating to die in a certain way like a head shot from a looooong distance and trough the wall... anyhow ill give cs:s a try if u accept it as a trial division.

i am thinking about buying cs:source, i have never played any version of cs. should i get it. i only like online multiplayer games. how does it compare to cod?

I just played HL2 with a copy that isn't mine. I enjoyed it quite a bit. But I don't know anything about Source. So how is it different from original CS please? Can anyone enlighten me. I didn't play it online yet as you notice :). I would like to know if I want to actually buy my own copy. If I do, then it will be to shoot around a bit with bacs. I won't be a tournament person. See my BF2 thread for those who play to win only :).

I found the physics system is altered, grenades and flashes when thrown are basically unpredictable of where they land. The recoil I've experienced to be very different as well, and maybe it's just my slow laptop but they movement and gameplay just seems alot less...smooth. Too graphical which slows down the game. Just my opinion based on my experience. :)

Hmm... is bac still thinking about having a CSS Division ? It would be really cool if bac would get one and im sure alot of bac CS players would join the CSS Divison

Slightly dissapointing perhaps.

i OWN CSS!!!! me and the clan im in . MIA were in cal and twl were doing good in twl but not in cal css is a great game if you like pretty much any shooter I recommend css
